The Cotswolds area is home to some of the most entrancing landscapes in the whole of the British Isles. On this tour, we not only show you the region’s delightful scenery, but also include the quaint and charming thatched cottages, villages and hamlets that dot the area. We’ll start the day by adventuring out to the peaceful Cotswolds, where we’ll visit two of England’s most idyllic locations and admire the region’s iconic thatched cottages and antique shops along the way. There, we visit the Bard’s birthplace, trace his steps throughout his life, and explore how this environment shaped his character and work throughout his life.
The first stop on our visit is a special treat for Downton Abbey fans, as we take a tour around Bampton, the filming location for Downton Town. After visiting some of the sites used to film this sensational TV series, we then proceed to the beautiful country scenery of the Cotswolds area. With its rolling hills and rustic charm, this region is justly regarded as one of England’s most appealing spots. Finally, we’ll visit Blenheim Palace, the imposing and dramatic home of the Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Winston Churchill.
